Lucy Bakanal ist in Brasilien geboren und zwischen Zürich und Wien aufgewachsen. Ihre musikalische Sprache ist kein Konzept, sondern Herkunft. Afro- und Latin-Rhythmen, Clubkultur und urbane Sounds sind Teil ihres Alltags – nicht etwas, das sie sich angeeignet hat.
Ihre Sets bewegen sich selbstverständlich zwischen Afro House, Latin House, Baile Funk, Soca, Hip Hop und modernem Techno. Dabei geht es nicht um Genregrenzen, sondern um Energie, Groove und Körperlichkeit. Lucy spielt Musik, die sie kennt, fühlt und lebt – direkt, tanzbar und ohne Umwege.
